Ep #29: CP7 Unplugged - Watch Talk & Watch Goals For 2024 & Beyond

Listen to full episode :

Back by popular demand, CP7 goes unplugged and unedited one more time. With it being halfway through the year and inspired by a review watch, the guys talk about their watch goals for this year and maybe the next.  We get some real open conversation, and some reflective thinking in seeing how their habits have changed, over the course of time.

So what is on their wishlists? Has Andy got a new itch for Tudor, is the Rolex at risk? Talking of Tudor did Parm really say he's warming to the new Tudor Ranger?! There's only one way to find out.

Budget, plays an important role in any watch purchase, and where can you find a good price and high quality in one go? Could it be Seiko? It is a brand loved by many and looked down on by some but nobody can deny its versatility. Find out the boys' take on that most posing of questions.

Is vintage Cartier another genre worth looking into and why is the Omega Speedmaster said to be the most important watch ever made?

So buckle up and enjoy the ride, and most importantly enjoy this very special unplugged edition.

First, let's take a look at the wristwatch checks: Andy is rocking his tropical Rolex 1007 Oyster Perpetual, and Parm’s wearing his stunning Rolex Explorer II 216570 Polar.

Taking a closer look at the watches discussed in the episode, we have a range of watches that Andy has been eyeing: the Eterna, Gallet, Movado, Longines, with gilt dials and sector dials, themed with the classic ladder bracelet. Then there’s Parm's love for the green IWC Ingenieur, Andy's regret over passing up the Cartier Cristallor, and the Seiko Speedtimer which keeps pulling Parm back in. Parm mentioned 42mm initially, but correction, it is 39mm. Then there's the King Seiko in plum red, which has caught Parm's eye, and it must be said, Andy's as well. Next, the Tudor OysterDate Chrono and the Prince Date that offer great value for money for Andy, plus the bronze Tudor Black Bay 58 boutique edition which caught Andy's attention during a recent boutique visit. Followed by Parm’s newfound love for the classic Omega Speedmaster hesalite. Finally, Andy and the neon Swatch that he thinks would be the perfect summer watch.
