They're back from where it all began for the podcast! The CP7 boys have been to the amazing Geneva Watch Days 2024 and returned to tell the tale, in part 1 of 2, of this special CP7 Podcast.

From a slightly worrying start to a marathon of brand appointments, networking, journalistic highlights, and hospitality... lots of hospitality!

Being the premier event for independent watch brands in the industry, discover how Geneva Watch Days 2024 showcased so many superb and creative brands, from an affordable price point to the extremely high-end luxury we can only dream about.

This was no Rolex, Omega, Swatch, or Cartier love-in, instead in this show the boys talk about luxurious Jacob & Co., uber cool De Bethune, the people's champion Oris, a rejuvenated Favre Leuba, high octane Depancel, and the mighty Armin Strom.

As an added treat hear about how they witnessed the relaunch of sophisticated Daniel Roth, courtesy of LVMH's Fabrique Du Temps spearheaded by watchmaker icons Enrico Barbasini and Michel Navas. It really was a "pinch yourself to believe it" moment, and listen in on how humbled and honored our guys were to be there.

So buckle up and enjoy the ride as we get into Part 1 of this Geneva Watch Days rollercoaster.

Wristwatch Check: First up, Andy is wearing the RZE Resolute Pro in Medallion Yellow Enamel, followed by Parm with the RZE Fortitude GMT in Crimson Red. We finish with the Edward Christopher Manta in Forest Green, which came along on a mini tour with Parm to Geneva and for Andy to check out.

Next, we dive into the Jacob & Co collection, beginning with the Bugatti Tourbillon, followed by the Brilliant Flying Tourbillon. We wrap up with the Opera Godfather Minute Repeater, accompanied by an image from the Godfather movie, as the music from the Godfather watch transported Parm straight to that iconic scene.

Here, we showcase the new Jacob & Co compact Oil Pump Tourbillon in action.

Moving on to De Bethune, we discover the new DB28 range in the compact XS form factor. We begin with the DB28xs Aérolite, followed by the DB28xs Steel Wheels, and conclude with the DB28xs Purple Rain.

Now, we turn our attention to the rebirth of Favre Leuba. We begin with the Chief Date, then move on to the Deep Blue Renaissance, the Deep Blue Revival, and the Chief Chronograph. We round off with the Sea Sky Revival.

Next, we look at the Oris collection, starting with the Aquis Chronograph. We then turn to the LFP Limited Edition, move on to the ProPilot X Calibre 400 Laser, and finish with the ProPilot X Calibre 115.

Turning our attention to Depancel, we begin with the Allure in British Racing Green, then we move on to the Allure Automatic Chronograph B, followed by the Allure Jurgen Clauss, and conclude with the Valjoux 92 Depancel.

Transitioning to Daniel Roth, we explore the Tourbillon from the new Foundational Collection, beginning with the Rose Gold edition and then moving on to the Souscription edition in Yellow Gold. The final image features Michel Navas and Enrico Barbasini, the two men behind the relaunch of Daniel Roth, showcasing their passion for watchmaking as they study the Edward Christopher Manta.

To conclude today’s episode, we focus on Armin Strom. We kick off with the Tribute One, then move on to the Gravity Equal Force Ultimate Sapphire Purple, followed by the One Week. Next, we explore the evolution from the Masterpiece Dual Time Resonance to the brand-new Dual Time GMT Resonance First Edition.

Here’s a look at the original 60mm Masterpiece Dual Time Resonance in action.

Followed by a look at the new Dual Time GMT Resonance First Edition, shown in contrast to the original.

We round off with some shots from the event and a bit of celebration.
